Integrations

# PitchGenius for Salesforce, readiness logged as a task on each lead.

Salesforce connects with OAuth and PitchGenius imports your Salesforce leads as buyers. After a call, a push from the deal page or Sync All logs completed tasks on the matching lead, one per kind of update: buyer details, precall plan, postcall readiness, MEDDPICC gaps and Buyer Index, each only when that data exists. The next push rewrites the description of the same task, so the lead's Activity History does not collect duplicates.

Write-back

## What syncs

- Into PitchGenius: the email, name, job title, company and phone of each Salesforce lead you import. Contacts and opportunities are not imported.
- Into Salesforce: tasks with the subject "PitchGenius update", status Completed, attached to the lead. The postcall task holds the readiness score out of 100, the state, the deal risk, the primary and secondary blocker and the next best action.
- Each task starts with its own header line, for example "PitchGenius Postcall Update", so a later push finds it and rewrites the description.
- Sync All, in Settings, pushes every opportunity that is linked to a Salesforce lead.

Boundaries

## What doesn't sync

- No Salesforce field changes. The lead record itself is never edited.
- No lead status or owner changes.
- No import of a Salesforce lead's own tasks or activity history into PitchGenius.

No connection

## Without a connection

The CRM Update Pack for Salesforce matches rows on a column named External ID. Salesforce’s importer uses it to find the record you already have, and a different header creates a duplicate record.

Access

## Permissions

Salesforce's own consent screen lists the scopes PitchGenius asks for, set on the registered app. The connection uses OAuth with PKCE, a code check added on top of sign-in that stops a stolen authorization code from being replayed by anyone else. PitchGenius reads leads and organization data, and writes only its own tasks.

Questions

## Frequently asked

### 01Does PitchGenius work with Salesforce?

Yes. Connect it in Settings with OAuth, then import Salesforce leads as buyers and log a readiness update on each one after a call.

### 02What does PitchGenius write into Salesforce?

Completed tasks on the lead, subject "PitchGenius update", visible in Activity History and rewritten in place on each push. It never changes a field on the lead.

### 03What happens without a Salesforce connection?

Export a CSV pack instead, with an External ID column Salesforce's importer matches to the right record.

### 04Can I disconnect Salesforce later?

Yes, in Settings. The authorization also stays on the Salesforce side until you revoke it there.
