What Real-Time Sales Coaching Costs Next to a Recording Tool

A dated reading of the published price and live-coaching claim of 15 vendors, what a live feature really adds per rep, and a break-even test you can run with your own deal value.

Key takeaways

  • 01Of 15 vendors read on October 1, 2026, eight publish a price figure, four send you to a quote and three show nothing.
  • 02In Avoma and Cirrus Insight the live part is an add-on, so the first seat price you see is not the price of the live part.
  • 03Cirrus Insight's Live Coaching at $125 a user a month requires Meeting Capture at $39, so the pair costs $164 a month or $1,968 a year at list price.
  • 04Trellus and Outreach keep the live part off the public price entirely, and Fireflies, Sybill and Claap publish prices while describing nothing during the call.

We compared the published price and the live-coaching claim of 15 vendors on October 1, 2026. Eight publish a price figure, four send you to a quote, and three show nothing. Of the eight, four also publish the price of a plan that gives help during the call, Avoma, Cirrus Insight, Convo and Cluely, and in Avoma and Cirrus Insight the live part sits in an add-on, so the first seat price you see is not the price of the live part.

Below are the readings, what a live feature costs per rep once add-ons stack, and a break-even test that needs only your own deal value. PitchGenius is in the table as the sixteenth row, read the same way.

The prices in the table buy a recording or a cue for one call at a time. What PitchGenius adds is the Intelligence Loop, where one Buyer's Blueprint is rewritten by every call and the next call opens on what the deal still has to learn.

What does each vendor publish?

Source: each vendor's own pages, linked in the table, such as Avoma, Cirrus Insight and Trellus, fetched October 1, 2026.

Method and limits: rows are grouped by price status, and a figure counts as published only when it is a number on the vendor's own site, with the quote kept in the data and refetched. Live claim restates the vendor's own sentence, and none described means the pages read hold no such sentence. Trellus sits in the published group for its two individual dialer plans, while the realtime coaching it describes belongs to a quoted plan.

A tool reads as live in this table only when its own site says help arrives while the call is running. Fireflies lists real-time notes and live transcriptions, which put a transcript on screen and give the rep no cue, so its live claim reads as no coaching.

What does a live feature really cost per rep?

The live feature is a second line item in two of the readings. Cirrus Insight prices Live Coaching at $125 a user a month and says it requires Meeting Capture at $39, so the pair is $164 a month, or $1,968 a year at list price, before its published term discounts. Avoma's recorder seat starts at $19, and the Conversation Intelligence add-on that carries its live answer cards is another $29, so the pair is $48 a month. Convo's Professional plan, the one that lists its Live Assistant, is $52.49 a user a month billed annually, or $629.88 a year, which sits between Avoma's $576 pair and Cirrus Insight's $1,968 pair.

Two vendors keep the live part off the public price entirely. Trellus lists realtime coaching only in a custom-priced Business plan, and its individual dialer plans at $99.99 and $149.99 a month do not include it, while Outreach lists live content cards in a package it quotes on request.

Source: prices from the vendor pages behind Figure 1, such as Avoma and Cirrus Insight, multiplied by twelve.

Method and limits: each row is the cheapest published paid plan that gives the capability the row is read for, which is a live cue for Avoma, Cirrus Insight, Convo, Cluely and PitchGenius and a recording for Fireflies and Sybill, billed the way the row says. Gross profit per deal values of $5,000, $20,000 and $50,000 are illustrations to read across, not benchmarks, and the last column divides annual cost by them. Rows without a published figure cannot be computed and are left out.

Read across a row. At $5,000 of gross profit per deal, PitchGenius's $3,289 year needs 0.66 of one extra deal per rep, Cirrus Insight's pair needs 0.39 and Avoma's pair 0.12. At $50,000 no row needs more than 0.07 of a deal. The cheap seats win on arithmetic and the live coach wins only if it changes a call the recorder would have left alone. Teams that only need the live cue can also read PitchGenius vs Convo.

How do you test whether it pays back?

Use your own numbers. The test has four inputs and no benchmarks.

  1. Annual cost per rep. Take the monthly price, add any add-on the live feature requires, multiply by twelve, and add the setup fee if one is listed.
  2. Reps who would use it. Multiply by the number of seats you would actually buy, since several prices above are per user and teams of a different size sit in different tiers.
  3. Value of one deal. Use gross profit, not revenue, and use the average from your own CRM for the segment this rep sells into.
  4. Extra deals needed. Divide the total annual cost by the value of one deal.

No vendor in Figure 1 publishes an independent figure for how many extra deals its tool produces, PitchGenius included, so the number that fills the test is yours to measure in a pilot.

What does the PitchGenius price buy?

Solo is $299 a month, or $3,289 a year, which works out to $274.08 a month because the twelfth month of the annual plan is free. It is a per-account price for one seller, listed on the pricing page, teams are priced by contract, and it is the highest entry price in Figure 2. In return the seller gets a buyer profile before the call and a diagnosis after it, shown in Figure 3, in the same tool that gives the live cue. The comparison with a recorder's archive is in post-call versus real-time coaching.

Method and limits: sample data, no customer result.

Teams are priced by contract, and a team contract adds the manager's view. The Manager Coaching Report lists each rep's last ten calls and the share of shown prompts the rep used, which is the usage figure a buyer should ask any live vendor for before paying for a second seat.

Which price traps showed up in the readings?

  • A price that changes with the billing toggle. Cluely Pro is $19.99 monthly and $11.99 billed annually, Sybill Pro is $36 monthly and $30 annually, and Claap Business is €60 monthly and €48 yearly, so a comparison needs the same toggle on every row.
  • A published price with no live feature. Fireflies, Sybill and Claap publish prices and describe nothing during the call.

A cost question to ask every vendor

  • Is live guidance in the base seat, or in an add-on that needs another add-on?
  • What is the minimum contract length and the setup fee?
  • Is there a platform fee on top of seats, as Gong's page says?
  • What happens to the price when a second or third CRM is connected?
  • What does the trial include, and does it need a card?

PitchGenius's 7-day trial belongs to the monthly Solo plan, needs a card and can be cancelled any time, and the annual plan has none. Jiminny's homepage offers 14 days with no credit card. Frequently asked questions

How much does real-time sales coaching software cost?

Of the vendors in the October 1, 2026 table, Cluely, Sybill, Fireflies and Claap have free plans, and the cheapest paid plan that describes help during a call is Cluely Pro at $11.99 a month billed annually. Cirrus Insight's Live Coaching is $125 a user a month on top of Meeting Capture, and PitchGenius Solo is $299 a month. Several vendors quote only after a demo.

Is live coaching more expensive than call recording?

Not by a fixed ratio. A recorder seat plus a live add-on can cost less per month than a live-first plan, as Avoma's $48 pair shows, and a recorder with a live add-on can cost more, as Cirrus Insight's $164 pair shows. Compare the total per rep for your team size.

Does PitchGenius publish its price?

Yes. Solo is $299 a month with a 7-day free trial, or $3,289 a year billed upfront with no trial. Teams are priced by contract.

What hidden costs should I look for?

Add-ons that hold the live feature, add-ons that require another add-on, minimum seat counts, setup fees and platform fees. Avoma's live guidance sits in an add-on, Cirrus Insight's requires a second one, and Revenue.io says it is built for teams of 15 or more seats.

Can I trial a live coach before paying?

PitchGenius offers a 7-day free trial on the monthly Solo plan, and Jiminny offers 14 days with no credit card. Check each vendor's terms, because trial length and card requirements differ.

How often is this table updated?

Every row carries the date it was read, and the table is stored as data so it can be re-read each month. A figure that changes after the date shown is not reflected until the next reading.
